The Winter Ball Assembly, the second in the history of the Central Ballet School (CBS), took place in the Pashkov House, where more than 100 Moscow families gathered. The founder of the Central Children’s School, Lyudmila Andryushina, said that the idea of the ball-assembly was born in St. Petersburg, where the school’s students went on an educational trip. The ball captivated students, parents and guests with a brilliant program developed by Honored Artist of Russia Anastasia Yatsenko, and an inspiring musical program led by conductor Kirill Filatov. The hosts of the evening were the artistic director of the Central Ballet School and the prima of the Bolshoi Theater Ekaterina Shipulina and actor Yulian Makarov. Students of the ballet school performed separate numbers and prepared a special section dedicated to the waltz. Parents also took part in the Winter Ball, who, together with young artists, performed a classical ballroom program of polonaise, mazurka, polka and stream.
