Winners of applied sports competitions in Staraya Russa announced

Regional competitions in applied and technical sports were held in Staraya Russa on November 25, students from seven educational organizations in the region took part in them, the Staraya Russa district administration said.
Participants competed in seven disciplines, including air rifle shooting, disassembling and assembling a Kalashnikov assault rifle, figure driving, driving radio-controlled tanks and others.
In the team competition, students from the NovSU Polytechnic College took first place. Students of the Starorussian Agrotechnical College took silver. The team from the Novgorod Chemical-Industrial College was on the third step of the podium.
Some participants were also awarded for personal achievements. The title “Best Shooter” was awarded to students of the Old Russian branch of Borovichi Medical College, Ivan Korolev and Alexey Shatsky. Ilya Golubev, a student of the Staraya Russian Agrotechnical College, became the best in figure driving.
Previously reportedthat the Vodokanal football team from Veliky Novgorod will take part in regional competitions.
