Wings of the Soviets became the last participant in the semi-final round of the “Ways of the RPL” in the Fonbet Cup of Russia. In the return match of the quarterfinal stage, the Samara team, who beat Dynamo in the first meeting – 2:1, played with him on a foreign field in a draw – 1:1.

This match immediately promised that, like the first one, in which Krylya Sovetov won a victory at home that did not guarantee them anything with a score of 2:1, it would not be insipid. Both of them obviously wanted to play with the ball, and preferably not in the middle of the field, but near the goal of others. And the defense of both teams into a concrete wall, in which, no matter how hard you try, you can’t break even a small hole, refused to turn.

“Wings” were the first to get close to the goal, demonstrating that they still have the ability to not badly fulfill set pieces. The serve of Glenn Bale on the right was executed cunningly, at some intermediate, or something, height – not from the bottom, but not in such a way that it was necessary to fly into the air after it. And Amar Rakhmanovich, of course, knew that it could be so, and threw himself at her, ahead of all the guardians. He failed to hit his head, but the ball bounced off his shoulder so that those who were worried about Dynamo might have thought that trouble was inevitable. The goalkeeper Igor Leshchuk, who reacted, came to the rescue.

Arsen Zakharyan volunteered to adequately answer the Dynamo team from Samarans. His pass to Daniil Fomin was subtle and perfectly timed. Well, almost perfect, because Fomin was still too close to Ivan Lomaev and could not pierce the ball under the goalkeeper.

Then again it was the turn of the “Wings” to surprise. Their Argentinean Benjamin Garre gave a trick that, if the Moscow broadcast were suddenly hooked, his compatriots, who won the gold of the World Championship in Qatar in December, could also applaud. Mumi Ngamalyo seemed to have reliably blocked his path to the gate. Garre fooled him by first moving back a little, and then, waiting for a move from his opponent, throwing the ball between his legs. Ngamalyo, realizing that he had been tricked, put his hand in front of the Samarans with a barrier, and this was not the penalty that was being argued for a long time. The penalty kicker Vladimir Pisarsky also put on a little show out of him. He did not run away, but somehow ridiculously trotted towards the ball in order to firmly move his foot along it. Leshchuk at that moment was already flying into a corner. He managed to throw his hand in the right direction, but the ball only touched.

At Dynamo, Arsen Zakharyan again acted as an avenger, who decided that an unexpected blow could well help. The solution really almost worked – the ball hit the post.

The break changed the game a little, and not in the direction that football fans like from a knife. With regard to the “Wings of the Soviets”, such a slightly calmer style than before looked more organic: after all, they were in a situation where you can not look ahead, but enjoy a margin of safety. The score screamed that Dynamo should press, and they managed to make a selection and make a good attack only in the middle of the second half. Everything was played out great, and Konstantin Tyukavin was already laying his body parallel to the lawn for a killer blow. The forward, however, failed to hit the ball normally.

Krylia pricked Dynamo with their good combination. It was completed by Vladimir Pisarsky, who shot at the gates. He fired over the crossbar.

Dynamo revived the intrigue thanks to a free kick. Strictly speaking, Arsen Zakharyan spun the ball not very well – into a cluster of players on the goalkeeper’s line, but terribly successful for his team was a rebound from this anthill, which Yaroslav Gladyshev got. Gladyshev did not miss, providing the match with a nervous and stormy ending, in which, fortunately for the Krylia fans, there were no goals.

“Wings of the Soviets” became the last participant in the semi-final stage of the “Way of the RPL”. Before them, Spartak, Ural and CSKA made their way into it. The draw for this round will take place today. Dynamo will continue their cup performances in the lower part of the grid — the Way of the Regions.
