American corporation Microsoft released a new test version of Windows 11, which introduced an updated “Explorer” and the ability to control the device’s RGB backlight. Members of the Windows Insider program can download the new version of the operating system.
When you open the “Explorer”, the recommended files are now visualized in a new way, the design of the “Favorites” and “Recent” sections has also been updated. Both local and cloud folders can be found in the address bar, and OneDrive users will see the sync status and free space in the cloud storage.
Users will also now be able to adjust the device’s RGB lighting using the Dynamic Lighting feature. Asus, Acer, HP, Logitech, HyperX, Razer and Twinkly are involved in the development of this feature. There are currently some throttling issues on wireless devices, so Microsoft advises testing wired connections first. The list of supported hardware is expected to expand in 2024.
