Employees of the Wildberries marketplace pulled off a scheme by which they robbed the company of 654 million rubles, reports Telegram channel SHOT.
Since January 2022, employees have made changes to the company’s databases, in some cases reducing the price by a thousand times, after which they themselves purchased it. This allowed the product to move up in the search and ratings.
About 300 sellers used the services of “gray promotion”, reconfiguring the advertising algorithms on the marketplace.
