Wildberries made concessions to the strikers: the employee suggested the “collapse of the empire”

Since March 15, the country has been overwhelmed by a strike by the owners of the pick-up points of the popular Wildberries trading platform, who have rebelled against the new system of unreasonable, in their opinion, fines that “eat up” all their earnings. As MK wrote, on March 15, the marketplace denied the fact of a riot, stating that all order pick-up points (PVZ) are operating as usual. Later, the company clarified that they had closed several pickup points, since they did not intend to “cooperate with uncivilized partners.” The situation was personally taken care of by the Minister of Labor Anton Kotyakov, who promised to “deal” with the complaints of the owners of the pickup point. Deputies of the State Duma and the General Prosecutor’s Office also took the company into circulation.

Recall that on March 15, the press service of the marketplace, where MK applied for a comment, denied the fact of a “riot”, saying that those dissatisfied partners (owners of the pickup point) who came to the Moscow office to express their demands “represent only 0.1 % of their total.

The wave of strikes, which resulted in the closure of individual pick-up points across the country, began with the fact that on March 3, Wildberries introduced a new system of fines. According to the new rules, if buyers return goods to the warehouse due to a defect or they are replaced by unscrupulous employees of the pickup point or customers, the owner of the pickup point must pay for this. Wildberries explained the new draconian methods as follows: “according to the results of the analysis, the internal algorithm concluded that in 98% of cases of substitution or damage to goods, employees of the points of issue are to blame.” At the same time, there were no options for challenging fines.

“At our point, the employees complained to me that they would deduct money from them if someone steals something or during the fitting in the booth they replace an expensive thing with a cheap one (or tear it while trying it on), ” Muscovite Anastasia told MK. – Recently, as they said, the girl in the booth changed her jeans for 7 thousand rubles for her cheap ones. Employees at the checkout are trying to encourage everyone to unpack the goods without leaving, under the camera. But when there is a large flow of people, this is impossible. In addition, someone may be ashamed to unpack the ordered things in front of everyone (underpants, bras, sex toys …). In ordinary stores, they can also change clothes or steal, and the percentage “for theft” is included in the price of the goods. And in Wildberries, it turns out, for such cases they write off money from employees and owners of the point ..

By the way, as one of the company’s employees explained to us, “the fine falls on the owner of the pickup point, and it is the owner’s decision to fine the employee or not.”

The head office of Wildberries at first “with hostility” took the “rebels” and took tough measures against them. Information began to spread everywhere that on March 15, the giant marketplace notified 10 points of issue of orders that it was blocking their work and asked them to return the goods received at the points on orders from citizens. Such notices were received by the owners of those outlets that had been outraged by the actions of the company the day before. There were reports that the marketplace has set a fine of 100,000 rubles, which “is now imposed if the Customer (marketplace) reveals the facts of the distribution by the Contractor (PVZ) of unreliable, misleading, inciting to illegal actions information, dissemination of information that expresses a disrespectful and negative attitude to the customer”.

The confrontation between the “master” and “subjects” attracted the attention of the prosecutor’s office and State Duma deputies. At the initiative of the First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Control Committee Dmitry Gusev, on March 15, a meeting was held with the owners of the pickup point and representatives of the Wildberries site.

“We handed over to Wildberries all the claims and demands of the owners of the points of issue of orders and obliged them to respond to each item by Friday,” Dmitry Gusev told MK. – On Friday, March 17, the next meeting in the State Duma between representatives of the marketplace, deputies and owners of the pickup point should take place. We are waiting for answers to all questions from Wildberries. Already today we see how they began to pay money. And from them in the near future should follow a statement.

The scandal with Wildberries also reached the Minister of Labor of Russia Anton Kotyakov, who commented on it as follows: “Now a lot of attention is riveted to Wildberries from Rostrud, from the deputy corps, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, we are sorting out the situation. We are currently working with documents, with statements from citizens.”

As for the demands of the strikers, they are posted on the telegram channel, specially created on March 15 for this action: “Cancel debts for marriage and substitution; remove the operation “marriage / substitution”; improve the instrument for challenging debts and realize the possibility of transferring responsibility to other persons; add the ability to challenge all types of deductions; lower the level of deductions to the previous values ​​- 25% of the shift.

– My personal impression as a supplier from working with WB is horror and a nightmare, – one of the suppliers Svetlana complained to the editors of MK after the release of our first publication. – Warehouses are a mess. We prove with the help of video that we shipped the goods of high quality and in the full amount of the order, but no … Each time there is a shortage, then a marriage. That is, at the entrance, money is already withdrawn from the supplier. And try to pick up your goods from Wildberries! Firstly, it is almost impossible, and if you get a return, then they will send such rubbish! The impression is that they deliberately spoil the goods there in the warehouse. In general, the company has such an attitude: “Only we are right, and everyone else is wrong.” Even this answer to the owners of the pickup point: “If you don’t like it, close it.” People invested money, promoted the point for you, and you just shut up!

The employees of the Wildberries warehouses are also howling from fines, who so far are not on strike, but are only outraged on social networks. But a rebellion is brewing among them. “I’ve been working since December, I made excellent money all December, there were fines, but I didn’t notice them, because I beat off everything with my earnings in full,” an employee of one of the warehouses in St. Petersburg shared with MK. – And since January, very strange fines began to come. On the day I could make 7-9 thousand rubles, but fines on this day could come from 100 rubles to 3,000 thousand rubles, and the guys had even more fines! Penalties, according to the employee, are charged for the loss of goods or for its incorrect sorting, for damage to goods, violation of safety regulations and all sorts of rules for being in a warehouse.

By the way, the man told us that in February the warehouse workers tried to go on strike: “Before February 23, they persuaded the workers not to go to work at all, and not only in our warehouse, but few agreed.”

And yet, the strike began to bear fruit. The press service of the marketplace giant gave MK the following explanations:

“Wildberries has improved the arbitration service for challenging charges for goods substitution and suspends new charges until the new substitution control system is finalized,” the press service announced. – Based on the results of meetings with initiative groups to test the mechanism for strengthening control over substitution of goods by the owners and employees of the pickup point, the online platform strengthened the arbitration system and improved feedback

Wildberries also assured that they are trying “together with other parties to make the mechanism for controlling substitution of goods more effective.” And thanks to “strengthening feedback channels, more than 10,000 incorrect fines for substitution of goods were canceled, in the near future they will be reflected in the balance sheets of the pickup point.”

Well, social networks, meanwhile, were full of advertisements for the sale of pickup points. The dates for putting up for sale are from March 4 to March 16. The price varies from 200,000 rubles. up to 3 million rubles PVZs are sold everywhere: Nizhny Novgorod region, Krasnodar Territory, Crimea, Vladimir region, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Bashkortostan … One of the sources told MK that points were sold before, but they began to get rid of them en masse from the beginning of March and especially in the last days.

And one of the employees even suggested “the collapse of the Wildberries empire.”

“I don’t think that Wildberries will be completely closed, after all, most of the pickup points are working,” one of the owners of the pickup point in the Irkutsk region answered this. “I work here myself and we don’t close, we don’t go on strike. In our city, only one point was closed yesterday, the rest quietly continue to function.
