White House had ‘good’ talks with Moscow during Prigozhin’s rebellion

Over the weekend, the White House held constructive talks with representatives of the Russian government, the dialogue was organized during the mutiny of the private military company PMC Wagner, Sky News clarifies.
According to John Kirby, strategic communications coordinator at the US National Security Council, the White House had good and direct contacts with Russian representatives during these events.
Kirby noted that relevant diplomatic contacts took place, in which the United States declared its non-involvement in the rebellion, and the American side indicated that it expects Moscow to comply with international obligations to protect diplomats.
Kirby stressed that the US government is not aware of the details of the agreement between Russian leader Vladimir Putin and Wagner chief Prigozhin. He also noted that the whereabouts of Prigozhin and most of the Wagner servicemen remain unknown to the United States.
