White House: Baden will veto aid to Israel without Ukraine

United States President Joe Biden will veto the bill to allocate aid to Israel if the House of Representatives of Congress agrees in its current form – without taking into account the interests of Ukraine. This was reported by the White House Budget Office, writes The Hill.

The Biden administration believes that the project proposed by representatives of the Republican Party does not meet today’s requirements because it does not take into account the allocation of aid for residents of the Gaza Strip, as well as the allocation of funds for Ukraine and Washington’s allies in the Indo-Pacific region.

“This bill is harmful to Israel, to the Middle East region, and to our own national security,” the White House said.

They noted that an additional conversation will be held with Congress in order to reach an agreement on additional funding: Biden previously asked Congress to approve a $105 billion package, of which 61.4 billion goes to Ukraine, 14.3 billion to Israel.
