WhatsApp will introduce a feature that will allow you to decrypt voice messages into text, informs WABetaInfo portal.
The developers are testing the new feature in the beta version of the messenger 23.3.0.73 for devices running Android. If the application is unable to recognize and translate the text, the messenger will warn the user about this with a separate notification.
According to experts, voice decoding remains inside the chat, only on the device where the function was used. This means that only the participants in the conversation can access the information in the voice message.
So far, the function is at the beta testing stage, the release date of the final version of the application with new features has not yet been announced.
Earlier in WhatsApp, the status interface was updated: now the user can choose who will see his statuses. For example, a certain circle of people or all users of the messenger.
In addition, WhatsApp statuses now have the ability to post voice messages up to 30 seconds long. According to the developers, the new feature will allow users to express their feelings and emotions more vividly.
You can also now send reactions to the statuses you are viewing: up to eight emojis are provided for the user to choose from, including those in love, surprised, crying, and others.
