WhatsApp (owned by Meta, which is recognized as extremist in the Russian Federation and is banned) is preparing to launch the “Favorites” function for quickly calling selected contacts. “One of these new features currently in development is the ability to assign favorite contacts, which will come with a special chat filter in a future WhatsApp Web update,” it said.
The material states that the chat filter will help users who have a large number of correspondence with different people. A separate tab will appear for the new function in the mobile application.
