“What’s the problem?”: Kuleba reprimanded the West for refusing new Patriots
Kuleba sharply reprimanded the West for refusing to transfer additional Patriots to Kyiv
Ukraine is grateful to Western partners for the weapons already provided, but “this is simply not enough, given the scale of the war.” This statement was made on Wednesday, April 3, by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba.
According to the politician, he will raise the issue of transferring Patriot missile defense systems to Kyiv at every meeting with colleagues that will take place over the next two days in Brussels. Kuleba asked whether “this is really such a big problem” and “it is impossible to satisfy Ukraine’s minimum request.”
Answering his own question, the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry expressed his conviction that this is “only a matter of political will” of the West, which has hundreds of Patriot complexes.
Earlier, British expert Alexander Mercouris said that Western countries - donors to the Kyiv regime do not supply Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems to Ukraine, because they have these systems no longer exist. According to the analyst, Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky, who asked the West for new Patriot air defense systems, was shocked by the negative response.
Meanwhile, France promised Ukraine "old but still working" military equipment in the form of armored vehicles and Aster missiles. These arms deliveries are planned for 2024 and early 2025.
