Ivanov Stanislav Aleksandrovich was born on May 19, 1970 in Novosibirsk. He has been hearing impaired since childhood. In 1995 he graduated from the Moscow State Academy of Physical Culture, in 2014 from the Russian State Social University with a degree in physical culture and sports and management, respectively.

Since 1988, he began playing volleyball under the guidance of coach Vasily Kovalchuk. European champion in volleyball among the deaf and hard of hearing in 1990. In 2001 he became a bronze medalist at the Deaflympics in beach volleyball in Italy, and in 2005 he won gold in Australia.

From 1995 to 2005 he taught physical education at a school for deaf children. From 2001 to 2005, he was the executive director of the Russian Sports Union of the Deaf. From 2006 to 2010, Advisor to the Department of Adaptive Physical Culture and Sports of the Department of State Policy in the Field of Physical Culture and Sports of the Russian Ministry of Sports and Tourism.

In 2010, he took the post of vice-president of the All-Russian Society of the Deaf (VOG). In 2006–2020, he was vice-president of the All-Russian Sports Federation for Deaf Sports. Since 2015 – member of the governing council of the international movement Abilympics. From 2019 to 2023 he served on the board of the World Organization of the Deaf. Since 2020, he has served as president of the All-Russian Society of the Deaf.

Member of the Commission for Disabled People under the President of the Russian Federation and the central council of supporters of the United Russia party. Founder of the international movement DeafSkills. Member of the commission for education and employment of people with disabilities of the international organization Rehabilitation International. Member of the Council of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science on issues of education of persons with disabilities and disabled people. Member of the interdepartmental commission for the development of adaptive physical culture and sports of the Council under the President of the Russian Federation for the development of physical culture and sports.

He was awarded medals of the Order “For Merit to the Fatherland”, II degree, and the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation “For assistance in organizing elections”, badges of the Ministry of Sports of Russia “Excellence in Physical Culture and Sports” and VOG “For Special Merit”, II and III degrees. International Master of Sports of the USSR, Honored Master of Sports of Russia. Advisor to the State Civil Service of the Russian Federation, 3rd class.
