April 16, Russian President Vladimir Putin appointed Major General Apta Alaudinov as Deputy Head of the Main Directorate for Military-Political Work of the Ministry of Defense. Details of his biography are in the Kommersant certificate.

Alaudinov Apty Aronovich was born on October 5, 1973 in the village of Gorny, Stavropol Territory. In 2001 he graduated from the Chechen State University with a degree in jurisprudence. In 2013, he became a candidate of political science, defending a dissertation at Moscow State University on the topic “Regional identity as the basis for the formation of a national political identity.” In February 2024, he graduated with honors from the Military Academy of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces.

Until 2001, he was a prosecutor. Then he moved to the internal affairs bodies as an inspector of the recruitment department in the personnel department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. In 2002–2004 he served in the Department of Internal Security (USB) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Chechen Republic. In July 2004, he became deputy head of the operational and investigative work department of the Internal Security Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Chechen Republic. In November 2005, he was appointed head of the Department for Combating Organized Crime of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for Chechnya. In 2006, he took the post of head of the special commission to monitor compliance with the norms and rules of residence in temporary accommodation centers for displaced persons.

In March 2009, he was appointed head of the Department of the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation for Chechnya. In April of the same year, he took the post of deputy head of the criminal police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the republic. In 2011, he was appointed Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs for Chechnya and Chief of Police. In 2012, he was awarded the rank of Major General of Police. Since March 2022, he has been participating in Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine, heading the Akhmat SOBR. In July of the same year, he was appointed secretary of the Council of Economic and Public Security of the Chechen Republic. In November 2022, he became deputy commander for combat operations of the 2nd Army Corps of the LPR People’s Militia Directorate (later the 2nd Army Corps of the Russian Armed Forces). In the same month he received the military rank of major general. In October 2023, he stated that some of the fighters of the Wagner PMC came under his leadership.

On February 13, 2023, Ramzan Kadyrov reported an attempt to poison Apta Alaudinov. According to the head of Chechnya, the general’s adjutant received an envelope with a letter for him, which turned out to be saturated with a toxic substance, but serious consequences were avoided. At the beginning of March of the same year, after treatment in the Moscow hospital Apty, Alaudinov returned to the North Military District zone.
