Alekseenko Andrey Anatolyevich was born on April 23, 1978 in the village of Novopokrovskaya in the Krasnodar Territory. Graduated from the Kuban State Agrarian University with a degree in Industrial and Civil Engineering, Finance and Credit.

In 1996, he began working as an assistant foreman at Spetsdorremstroy LLC. After that he worked as a security service inspector, a 3rd category plasterer-painter, an engineer for technical supervision of facilities in the construction company Krasnodarselmash OJSC. In 2006–2007, he was Deputy General Director of Dion-A LLC.

From 2007 to 2010, he worked as head of the department for coordination, economic development and external relations in the administration of Krasnodar. In 2010, he became deputy, then first deputy head of the Tuapse district of Krasnodar. His competence included issues of housing and communal services, capital construction, fuel and energy complex, industry, agriculture, transport and communications.

In September 2015, he was appointed Acting Head of the Yeisk District, from October of the same year he worked as a Deputy, and from September 2017 – First Deputy Head of the Krasnodar Territory. His responsibilities included modernizing the region’s communal infrastructures to increase their investment potential, supervising the work of management companies and housing inspectorates, improving the quality of garbage collection and preparing reserves in case of emergencies.

Since October 21, 2021 – acting head of Krasnodar, since November 17 of the same year – mayor of Krasnodar.

On December 22, 2021, Andrei Alekseenko was brought in for questioning as a suspect in a criminal case of taking a bribe. According to investigators, the developer Misak Ghazaryan handed over to the official a gun worth 1.6 million rubles, and for this he allegedly ensured the issuance of a conclusion on the compliance of the apartment building with building codes. Later, the prosecutor of the Krasnodar Territory, Sergei Tabelsky, said that the case against Andrei Alekseenko was transferred for investigation to the central office of the TFR. Since then, there has been no official information about the investigation.
