A scout from the First Guards Tank Army of the Western Group of Forces told details about how Leopard tanks were destroyed in the Kupyansk direction. Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that two German tanks were destroyed in the area of the village of Stelmakhovka.
According to the Russian fighter, Ukrainian Leopard tanks moved into firing positions at night and were preparing to open fire.
“As soon as they occupied the lines for inflicting fire damage, we immediately opened artillery fire,” the scout noted.
According to him, the artillery first damaged the first tank, hitting the tracked mover with a shell. The crew of the second tank tried to immediately escape from the position, but, not knowing the terrain, they got stuck. After this, the tank crews left their vehicles and ran away. Then, already in the daytime, the scouts destroyed both tanks using the Lancet UAV.
