The authorities have deployed additional police forces to the streets adjacent to Republic Square in the center of Yerevan, where protests have been ongoing since Tuesday, with participants demanding, among other things, the resignation of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan after Azerbaijan’s military operation in Nagorno-Karabakh.
Today the opposition also brought people into the streets. First, those gathered held mourning events in memory of those killed in Karabakh, and then began to demand the resignation of the government.
Law enforcement officers are on duty near the Cabinet of Ministers building, but do not detain the protesters.
