Weightlifters from Yamal won 7 gold and 5 silver medals at the All-Russian competitions

On February 25 and 26, Omsk hosted the All-Russian kettlebell lifting competition “Memorial to the memory of Bekzada Smagulov, Nikolai Shatov and Ivan Martynevich”. The Yamal people performed at the event and won awards, the press service of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug reported.
The competition brought together more than 100 athletes from St. Petersburg, Omsk, Tomsk, Novosibirsk, Tyumen, Kurgan, Kemerovo, Arkhangelsk regions, the Republic of Sakha, Yakutia and Buryatia, KhMAO-Yugra, YNAO.
16 kettlebell lifters from the Arctic region competed for the victory. They won seven gold and five silver individual medals. In the long cycle relay, the national team took third place, and second in the team standings.
Earlier we said that Mark Uzunov from the district capital took third place at the championship of the Ural Federal District in taekwondo.
