On April 14, weekend fairs reopened in the capital. As before, they will work from Friday to Sunday inclusive.
Weekend fairs showcase goods from dozens of Russian regions. Muscovites can buy here fresh vegetables and fruits, berries, mushrooms, herbs, nuts, honey, various dairy, meat and fish products. Goods, before getting on the counter, will necessarily pass veterinary control.
“For example, fresh vegetables and fruits are tested for nitrates, and wild berries and mushrooms for radionuclides. This year, more than 50 veterinary experts will work at weekend fairs,” said Alexei Sautkin, Chairman of the Moscow Veterinary Committee.
Products will be checked at weekend fairs in 18 mobile laboratories, according to the official website of the Moscow Mayor.
After confirming that the products are safe and suitable for consumption, the inspectors will issue an appropriate conclusion to the sellers. And buyers have the right to demand that they present this document if the quality of the goods is in doubt.
Weekend fair locations can be found on the open data portal and project website “Our town”.
