Weather in Moscow: thaw, snow and ice

Over the weekend, warming will continue in Moscow, and snowfalls, sometimes turning into rain, will intensify.
On Friday, December 9, the intensity of the snowfall decreased, but on Saturday it will again become stronger, and according to the forecasts of the Hydrometeorological Center of the Russian Federation, precipitation will continue until Wednesday, December 14.
As for the weekend, from Saturday morning to Sunday evening the temperature background in Moscow will be kept at -2..0°. Blizzards are expected, which can increase the height of the snow cover to 13-15 cm. In addition, at zero temperatures, snow can turn into rain, so weather forecasters do not exclude the effect of freezing rain and, accordingly, the formation of black ice. The peak of the December warming and snowfall is expected on Monday, December 12.
Atmospheric pressure after record high values has already passed the norm and continues to decline. It is expected to be between 744 and 747 mmHg over the weekend.
