Weather in Moscow: January crept up unnoticed

Moscow is covered with snow. Meteorologists predict another long snowfall from Thursday evening, November 17, until Saturday morning, November 19.
By the morning of November 17, the height of the snow cover in some areas of the capital had already reached 11 centimeters, the Hydrometeorological Center of the Russian Federation reported. And according to weather forecasts, by the end of the week this figure could almost double. Heavy snowfall is expected in Moscow in the evening: from 21:00 Thursday to 09:00 Saturday, the city will have a “yellow” level of weather danger due to snowstorms and black ice.
The air temperature is also not at all November. On Thursday, it will still stay at -4 to -2 degrees, and on Friday, November 18, and Saturday, November 19, night temperatures will drop to -10 degrees, while during the day it will be from -6 to -4 degrees.
Sunday night could be the coldest this fall, with temperatures forecast to drop to -14 degrees in Moscow. And during the day it is expected from -9 to -4 degrees.
According to the head of the Russian Hydrometeorological Center Roman Vilfand, such weather is 6 degrees below the climatic norm and more in line with January.
