President Vladimir Putin believes that veterans will be in demand in the process of educating schoolchildren after the end of the military operation. He cited a quote that he said belonged to the first Chancellor of the German Empire, Otto von Bismarck: “Wars are won not by generals, but by teachers and priests.”
“When the war is over, people will need to be settled. Are there plans to create a military-patriotic structure for educating young people?” – members of the assault brigade, which is now located near Donetsk, asked the president.
The President noted that over a thousand veterans already work in schools and as children. He also promised to increase veterans’ participation in educational programs.
In the fall, a retraining center for military operation veterans opened in Russia. After completing the course, they will teach a new subject in schools – “Fundamentals of Security and Defense of the Motherland.”
