Gérard Prêcheur (PSG coach):“I have no regrets. There is always a little disappointment not to be rewarded but, individually and collectively, we put in a very good performance, especially when we know that this is only the second match in which this team plays together. Of course, this Champions Trophy has a prestigious side, but we have recovered the players who were at the Euro less than two weeks ago, we had to recreate the links and we are in the middle of the construction phase. We lay the foundations and, given what the girls have shown, we are already on the floor above. The regret is that they go back to selection tomorrow (Monday). We have shown that we can be present in a match, but to have a full season, we absolutely need to strengthen the squad.

Sonia Bompastor (Lyon coach):“For us, it was the opportunity to win a first title, we managed to do it but we will have to analyze the content. Everything was not perfect but, given the context, with the late return of the internationals and the players not at 100% physically, it is normal that the match is not quite successful. The particularity for us was that we had to recover from the ”jet-lag” after the trip to the United States. We saw at the end that it was complicated, even if the group has quality and the bench can help. We are still going to ramp up, we are making progress in the preparation but we are not yet at the level where we want to be. I knew that the PSG was going to respond present, it was the case, and it will respond present this season.
