“We hampered Lyon”, underlines Pantaloni after a “very satisfying match” for Ajaccio

Olivier Pantaloni (coach of Ajaccio, after the defeat against Lyon 2-1 on Friday) : “I am satisfied with the behavior of the team in general. We hampered Lyon in the construction of their game. We conceded a goal when we weren’t expecting it, but it was well done. The second goal is largely avoidable. We then feared the worst with 2-0 after twenty minutes of play but the team reacted well. The penalty and the exclusion of Lopes put us in a good position and I felt that at eleven against ten we had more possibilities. We wanted to get them higher after half-time but unfortunately we got an out too.

It’s a shame about our highlights at the start of the second half that we can’t come back. The changes should have brought us more freshness offensively. It’s still a very satisfying match for us. By playing Lyon against Lyon to begin with, this match will reassure us and allow us to work with more strength and determination to get our first points.
