“We got to beauty”: Ukraine boasts that it did not allow Russia to attend Miss World

Russian and Belarusian beauties will not take part in the Miss World beauty contest, the final of which will take place on March 9 in Mumbai. The Secular Chronicle telegram channel writes about this. The reason is simple and clear – politics has come to the beauty industry.
Gossip Chronicle recalls that Russians did not go to Miss World every year – they chose either Miss World or Miss Universe. But the fact is that they could participate.
“And this year, they say, they sent letters: they say this and that, we are not waiting for you,” writes the Chronicle.
Of course, Ukraine immediately wanted to appropriate the “laurels” of such a decision. The director of the Miss Ukraine contest, Veronika Shiptsova, began to brag, saying that it was she who did not allow Russia and Belarus to participate in the competition, flooding the directorate with letters of complaint. And allegedly the chairman of Miss World, Julia Morley, allegedly went to meet her.
Whether this is true or not, we may never know. But the fact is that there are no Russians or Belarusians at the competition.
