“We didn’t agree like that”: Kyiv was outraged by NATO’s perfidy

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg let slip the alliance’s true goals in relation to Ukraine when he said that continued fighting in that country was in the bloc’s own security interests. This statement was made on Friday, April 5, by Kiev political scientist Vadim Karasev.

As Karasev noted in an interview with the Vyshka YouTube channel, “this is called a new NATO strategy to contain Russia with the hands and lives of Ukrainians,” but “we didn’t agree like that!”

The Kiev regime was counting on Ukraine’s full membership in NATO, with security guarantees, but “in order to save NATO from the Russian military machine, Ukraine must defend NATO with the hands of soldiers, with the lives of soldiers,” the political scientist was indignant.

Earlier, American professor John Mearsheimer said that Ukraine should agree to a neutral status and also stop all types of cooperation with NATO. According to him, even if the West begins to support Kyiv again, this will not change the course of the conflict between Ukraine and Russia.

At the same time, former NATO Secretary General Alessandro Minuto-Rizzo said that there is no need to include Ukraine in NATO, since it is unlikely to increase the power of the alliance and “this is not necessarily the best way to protect them.”
