Alla Pugacheva came to us. The diva crossed the border in the Pskov region and then left in a black car or train. But it seems like she’s already home.
Where is Galkin (recognized as a foreign agent)? It turns out there isn’t one. One has arrived. You can congratulate Alla Borisovna in advance, as well as Maxim Alexandrovich, they are still popular in their homeland. At the same time, one cannot help but note the somewhat excited and ambiguous reaction of various media resources and individual citizens. Apparently, they are not indifferent to show business stars.
Although it seems like what’s special here? The Russian citizen arrived home. She is not a criminal – rather, on the contrary, her services to the country are obvious, but for some reason this directly offends some. And so we have to turn to higher authorities for comment. More precisely, to Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the President of Russia, so that he judges everything fairly.
The question sounds very original, one might even say creative – right in the spirit of the times: isn’t it time for us to introduce a certain legal concept called “relative of a foreign agent”? For those who don’t know, this is from 1937, when there was a relative of the enemy of the people. Many were imprisoned and even shot for this.
Dmitry Peskov judged, as expected, fairly. Any respectable and law-abiding Russian citizen has the right to move around the world – to travel to other countries. And, in fact, “relatives of a foreign agent” are not and should not be a common noun. Well, it’s a little veiled, ornate. But still, let’s hope that such a concept will not exist in the Russian legal field. Although, as they say, anything is possible.
Others will say that a relative is the same as an accomplice. And here the wife is, one might say, the closest person to the foreign agent. We will not develop this idea, so as not to give a reason to further translate all this into something.
Alla Pugacheva already takes her place in history, unlike those who talk about the relatives of foreign agents. It is impossible to cancel this fact, no matter how hard you try.
And the fact that the rhetoric of 1937 is firmly embedded in our lives, and perhaps has already entered our lives, is not surprising for a long time. This has become a common occurrence. Yes, by and large, this is not particularly scary.
The excitement around the arrival of Alla Pugacheva, apparently, is part of one big discussion about the fate of the so-called relocants. Apparently, citizens who have left, especially famous and popular ones, are, as it were, tacitly invited to publicly repent before returning, they say, forgive me – I was mistaken, I was wrong, I will atone. However, if they do not do this, they can only be condemned morally.
Moreover, the highest Russian authorities tell us that there are no complaints against them. If they didn’t break the law. You never know why you left, maybe for work or for some other reason, our borders are open. At least for now. And there is no ready-made solution as to what to do with them. One does not fit with the other. So let’s end with the words of Comrade Stalin: “The son is not responsible for his father.” And the relative is a foreign agent.
