We are waiting for you at Maslenitsa at the Cinema House

This year, the fourth day of Maslenitsa week coincides with Defender of the Fatherland Day. The day before, on February 22 at 18.00, the evening “Our History Keeps Our Great Feat” will be held at the Cinema House on Vasilyevskaya. It will be held as part of the “Silver Club” and a cycle of evenings organized by the Guild of Actors of the Russian Investigative Committee and the Martha and Mary Sisterhood in the name of the Feodorovskaya Icon of the Mother of God.

Our observer talks with the inspirer of these evenings, nun Olga (formerly the famous actress Olga Gobzeva).

– Your evenings have become traditional, the audience of the House of Cinema loves them. Moreover, at these meetings, your favorite artists perform absolutely free of charge, for whose concerts it is usually not so easy to find tickets. Who will please us this time?

– According to the tradition that has already developed over the years, both veterans of the theater and cinema, and creative youth will participate in the coming evening.

Well, for example, the People’s Artist of Russia Valery Barinov will perform.

– Valery Alexandrovich has many programs, but he always starts them all with a fragment about the Great Patriotic War.

– There is a reason for this: Valery Alexandrovich Barinov is the same age as Victory. He has a wonderful program “Ah, war, what have you done, vile?”. With this program, he pays tribute to veterans, those who did not come from the war. Fragments of it, we, apparently, will hear.

— Who else will take part in the concert?

– He promised to read poetry and sing a regular participant in our evenings, the leading artist of the Vakhtangov Theater, Honored Artist of Russia Igor Kartashev.

— Igor Vladimirovich has just released a new album of military songs “Snow Regiment”. I think the audience will appreciate the new compositions from this amazing album.

Schoolchildren Vanya Korshunov and Masha Cheremisina are participating in the concert. They will also sing and recite poetry. Historical memories of the victories in the Patriotic War of 1812 and the Great Patriotic War of 1941-45 will be heard. We will show excerpts from the famous film “War and Peace” by Sergei Bondarchuk and from the film by Yuri Ozerov “Liberation. Fire arc.”

Our close friend, a Chinese baritone, vocal teacher at Shanrong Jiang University will also take part in the evening. With soul, in Russian, he sings our military and folk songs.

There will be verses by modern Donetsk poets performed by Ksenia Martynova, a graduate of VGIK. The ensemble “Krasopakhorochka” will perform.

— Will there be military personnel at the party?

– They will. We are going to give gifts to their families. And in the buffet you can enjoy pancakes – after all, our meeting takes place on Maslenitsa week. You can bake pancakes yourself, treat both artists and your friends. We are waiting for you all at the Cinema House. Free admission.
