“Watermelon cross” was held in Kandalaksha

On Saturday, August 26, as part of the Decade of a Healthy Lifestyle, the Watermelon Cross was held in the city of Kandalaksha, Murmansk Region, the local administration reports.
Unusual competitions were held for the tenth time. More than 70 athletes of different ages fought for the victory and the main prize in the form of a watermelon – a distance of three kilometers awaited them.
The Deputy of the Murmansk Regional Duma Mikhail Pavlov delivered a welcoming speech.
In each of the groups, winners and prize-winners were determined. The absolute leaders were Andrey Yanovich from Apatity among men and Momot Irina from Kandalaksha among women.
