Washington warned Tbilisi about helping Moscow to circumvent sanctions

US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan, during a conversation with Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili, warned the Georgian side about Russia’s help in circumventing the Western sanctions regime, the White House said.
The report said Sullivan and Zurabishvili agreed that Russia “must feel the full economic cost of the sanctions, export controls and other restrictions” imposed by Washington and its allies.
The White House statement emphasizes that the Georgian president was warned not to help Russia circumvent sanctions.
Earlier it was reported that the United States and the European Union will take additional measures to prevent Russia from circumventing sanctions. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and US President Joe Biden said in a joint statement that Washington and Brussels also intend to work to limit third-country support for Russia.
