The United Arab Emirates sent another batch of humanitarian aid to Ukraine. This was reported by the local news agency WAM.

The total weight of the humanitarian cargo is 14 tons. It included LED lamps, blankets and personal care items. First, a batch of humanitarian aid will be transported to the capital of Poland, and from there it will be transported to Ukraine.

The agency emphasized that the UAE authorities managed to agree on the organization of the air corridor. In total, 11 aircraft were sent through it, which delivered about 550 tons of humanitarian aid. In addition, the Emirates handed over 5 ambulances and more than 2,500 generators to the Ukrainian authorities.

Readiness to help Ukraine was announced in the UAE last fall. In October, the President of the country, Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, ordered the allocation of humanitarian assistance for the Ukrainians affected by the conflict, totaling $100 million.
