Washington called on Serbia to withdraw troops from the border with Kosovo

The US administration is calling on Serbia to withdraw its troops from the border with Kosovo, as well as lower their readiness, said John Finer, deputy national security adviser to the US president. This is stated in the material RIA Novosti.
Finer made the corresponding statement during a telephone conversation with Serbian leader Aleksandar Vucic.
He also said that the White House was “concerned” about the situation in northern Kosovo. According to him, Washington calls on each of the parties to work on de-escalating the situation.
In addition, Finer said that Washington expects the parties to resume dialogue, as well as the implementation of agreements on the normalization of relations that were reached earlier.
As reported, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić brought the Serbian army to a state of maximum combat readiness due to the situation in Kosovo and Metohija. The head of state also demanded that NATO “urgently stop the violence against the Serbs” in Kosovo and Metohija.
