The United States and the European Union will take additional measures to prevent Russia from circumventing sanctions, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and US President Joe Biden said in a joint statement.
Washington and Brussels also intend to work to limit the support of Russia by third countries, follows from the document. It says the parties will expand cooperation to enforce restrictive and export control measures. They plan to “expand powers” in order to block Russia’s access to those opportunities that “may support its war machine.”
The US and EU will also take a series of new measures “against additional entities from third countries around the world” that support Russia, the statement said.
