The Polish authorities have suspended negotiations with the German government on the transfer of Leopard tanks to replace the T-72s transferred to Ukraine. As Marcin Osiepa, a spokesman for the Polish Ministry of Defense, explained, Warsaw was not satisfied with the small number of Leopards, as well as the fact that the transfer process was greatly extended in time.
“The negotiation process on tanks has been suspended. We considered the offer from Germany that we received to be unsatisfactory, since it concerned the transfer of a small number of tanks and would have been very long in time,” Marcin Osiepa said in an interview with Gazeta.pl.
