In Arkhangelsk, the Gandvik jogging club held a race in honor of the Old New Year. Parents with children, walruses, searchers, cadets and many others came to the start. Shoulder to shoulder, people of different ages, professions, different sports levels ran – beginners and eminent athletes of the region.

The start was given from the Gandvik club. At the main Christmas tree of Arkhangelsk, the athletes were greeted by Father Frost, Northern Zimushka with bread and salt and the symbol of the year – the Rabbit. Not without a New Year’s round dance. Santa Claus thanked the participants and presented sweet prizes.

Together and cheerfully, the team of athletes went back to the Gandvik club, where hot tea with treats was waiting for everyone. Veterans of the running community, as if plunged into the past – they remembered similar runs of the 80s.
