“Wait for orders”: Nagiyev scared fans with sad words on New Year’s Day

Fans of actor Dmitry Nagiyev discuss his controversial New Year greetings

Actor Dmitry Nagiyev has practically “disappeared” from the public agenda and recently rarely appears at cultural and social events, as well as on social networks. Back in 2022, fans of the artist agreed that this is how he expresses his civic position. The actor himself also hinted at this, for example, by refusing to become the host of a music award against the backdrop of artists being included in the state list of foreign agents or unofficial “black lists.”

Immediately after the onset of 2024, Nagiyev posted a short video on the social network in which he addressed subscribers.

“Happy New Year to you! Happy new. Kind. Peaceful. Beautiful. Nourishing. Fair. Free. Reliable. Happy New Year!” – the actor says with a sad smile, leisurely walking with the dog along the winter alley.

Under the video he left an even more confusing caption: “Down with dizziness from success <...> Wait for orders.”

In the comments, Nagiyev’s fans began to argue about why exactly the actor was sad and whether he was talking about some private situations or the situation in general. Patriotic citizens who are confident that Nagiyev is against the SVO intervened in the discussion.

“Ukrainians, he loves you so much. Take him to your place and provide him with a standard of salary and living,” wrote one middle-aged lady. “Speak specifically and leave with your ‘friends.’ You all love the Motherland while you’re milking it,” added another patriot. “Everyone understood you, Zadov. You, too, wait for orders,” agreed the third. Many comments turned out to be completely offensive.

Nagiyev’s fans did not leave him alone with his ill-wishers and wrote many comments in support and with words of gratitude. “You remain one of the few who have not sold their honor and conscience,” noted one of the subscribers. “As a Russian, I express my gratitude to you for your position.”

Nagiyev did not participate in the discussion. He summed up his video congratulations with the promise: “We will live. Everything will be fine.”
