President of the Russian Cross-Country Federation (FLGR) and head coach of the national team, Elena Vyalbe, said that her point of view regarding the participation of Russian athletes in the Olympic Games under a neutral flag remains unchanged.
According to Vyalbe, athletes from the Russian Federation should not go to the Olympic Games without a flag and without an anthem. The President of the FLGR emphasized that she does not say anything at all about the declaration, since it is “complete discrimination.” She added that her position on this issue will not change.
It is noted that as of now, the Russian Olympic Committee has not received an official invitation from the International Olympic Committee to participate in the Paris Olympics 2024. In March of this year, the IOC recommended that international federations allow Russians who do not support a special military operation (SVO) to participate in competitions in a neutral status.
