Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, in an interview with American journalist Tucker Carlson, said that NATO’s actions in Ukraine “crushed” the European economy. Carlson himself announced this on his Twitter account.

“In particular, he [президент Сербии] said that the war in Ukraine – the war waged by NATO against Russia – had destroyed the European economy. The destruction of the Nord Stream gas pipeline by the administration [президента США Джо] Biden or her intermediaries is killing the German economy,” Carlson said in a retelling of a past interview.

The journalist stressed that the German economy is one of the strongest in the EU. “The consequences of what is essentially an attack by one NATO country on another are being felt across Europe. And it’s just crazy! Complete madness! This war hits everyone, perhaps with the exception of Russia in the long run, and strengthens the position of states outside the EU,” Carlson said, adding that we are talking about the Gulf countries, China and Turkey.

According to Carlson, the meeting with Vučić took place at the Serbian embassy in Budapest on August 20. The journalist also published a video of the meeting with Vučić. The President of Serbia did not make any statements on the subject of Ukraine.

After the start of the military operation in Ukraine, Western countries imposed large-scale sanctions against the Russian Federation. At the same time, Serbia has repeatedly stressed that it will not join them. Vucic declaredthat the republic will join the anti-Russian sanctions only if its vital interests are threatened.
