Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić said on the air of the First Serbian Television on Sunday that negotiations between the Serbian and Kosovo authorities would take place on November 21. They will take place in Brussels.
“Negotiations will start at 8 am,” Vučić specified. This, he said, means that the Serbian delegation will leave Belgrade “at 4, or at 4:30, or late tonight.”
The situation in the region, as the Serbian leader noted, has become the most difficult over the past 10 years. Vučić said he did not hope to reach an agreement with Kosovo, but did not want to be seen as unwilling to participate in negotiations.
Earlier, Vučić spoke about the aggravation of the situation in Kosovo after November 21. This is due to the Albanians’ plans to “issue fines, absolutely illegal, contrary to the Brussels Agreement” due to the fact that the Kosovo authorities demanded the re-registration of all cars with numbers issued by Serbia.
On November 11, Vučić met in France with President Emmanuel Macron, Head of EU Diplomacy Josep Borrell and EU Special Representative for Belgrade-Pristina Dialogue Miroslav Lajcak. As Vucic noted, the Kosovo issue became the main topic of conversation with Borrell and Lajcak.
