Vucic refused to go to the EU summit and vote against Russia

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic will not go to the upcoming Council of Europe in Iceland, the Serbian side will be represented at the lowest level and will abstain from voting on the declaration against Russia. Vucic said this in an address to citizens on Friday.
The summit will take place on May 16-17, European leaders are invited to it. Vučić noted that they are going to pass a resolution with “attacks on Russia” and refuse to consider the Serbian amendment.
“Serbia will not vote for their declaration, we will abstain, we cannot prevent the adoption of their declaration, but they will not be able to say that it was adopted unanimously,” Vučić said.
He added that he is ready to endure attacks from Europe, as he adheres to the principles of international law and the UN Charter. He also said that he was “ready to support the territorial integrity of Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia” and did not agree to abandon the territorial integrity of Serbia.
