Vucic: Merkel’s statement is an indicator that it is impossible to believe

The President of Serbia said that Merkel’s statement about the Minsk agreements is a clear signal for Serbia “who should not be trusted.”
He was referring to the statement of former German Chancellor Angela Merkel, who previously admitted that the Minsk agreements were signed in order to give Ukraine time to strengthen.
According to Vucic, he personally appreciated Merkel very much, and her statement is almost unbelievable. He also recalled similar statements by ex-president of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko. According to him, this largely changes the facts and attitudes towards what has happened since 2014.
“Merkel’s statement is something that dramatically changes the state of things in every sense, primarily political. This is a clear signal for me – who we dare not believe.
Vučić wondered if the West had managed to deceive Russia in this way, then what would happen to a country like Serbia. He noted that this whole story will be a lesson for the Serbs.
