Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has announced that he has resigned as head of Serbia’s ruling party, the Serbian Progressive Party. He spoke about this at the congress of the movement in the city of Kragujevac.
Vučić proposed Defense Minister Milos Vučević as the new chairman of the party, reports tanjug.rs.
The Serbian Progressive Party was established in 2008, Vučić was one of its founders and took over in 2012.
Vučić has been President of Serbia since 2017.
