The President of Serbia spoke about his expectations of the development of the situation in Ukraine. According to his forecasts, the intensity of fighting in the next six months may increase significantly. Aleksandar Vučić stated this on the air of the Serbian television company TV Prva.
According to him, the fighting will be much fiercer, despite the fact that they are very intense. At the same time, Vučić expects that pressure will also increase on Serbia in connection with the support of Russia’s position. “The pressure on us will be twice or three times stronger, frighteningly terrible pressure on Kosovo and Metohija,” Vučić stressed.
At the same time, the president noted that even 4-5 months ago it seemed that Kyiv, with the gigantic support of Western countries, was winning. Now, Vučić believes, not everything is so clear-cut. “The first text in Politico has already been published: “Can it happen that Putin wins,” the head of Serbia mentioned.
Since February 24, 2022, a special military operation has been going on in Ukraine. Earlier, Vladimir Putin has repeatedly said that its ultimate goal is the liberation of the territory of Donbass, as well as the creation of conditions that guarantee the security of Russian territories.
