VTsIOM: More than 90% of Russians declared the Russian Federation’s ability to host international events

Nine out of ten Russians – 93% – said that the Russian Federation is capable of holding events of international status at the highest level. Experts from the All-Russian Center for the Study of Public Opinion (VTsIOM) came to this conclusion based on the results of a survey on impressions of the World Youth Festival. The study was conducted on behalf of the Expert Institute for Social Research (EISR).

Let us remind you that from March 1 to March 7, the World Youth Festival was held in Sirius. It took place on the initiative of President Vladimir Putin. The event was attended by 20 thousand guests from 190 countries.

During the survey, eight out of ten respondents (79%) said that holding such an event in Russia indicates that the state has a priority for the education of youth

61% of respondents said they knew or heard about the World Youth Festival. During the survey, 39% of respondents learned about it.

The majority of Russians reported that they have a positive attitude towards the Festival – 84%, including more than half of them who said this with complete confidence – 59%.

Among those who know and have heard about this event, the total figure is 91%.

Also, 83% of survey participants expressed a sense of pride in holding the Festival in Russia.

According to VTsIOM, the Festival left every fourth respondent indifferent – ​​25%. Negative emotions, according to the survey results, are most likely the exception (irritation – 2%, anxiety, disappointment, indignation and dissatisfaction – 1% each).

75% of Russians considered it correct to hold such an event.

The overwhelming majority of respondents are confident: despite the hostile attitude towards Russia on the part of some countries, young people from all over the world are still interested in Russia – 85%.
