Bank VTB plans to start integrating the retail business “FC Otkritie” in the IV quarter of 2023. This was stated in an interview with the Russia 24 TV channel by Deputy Chairman of the credit organization Anatoly Pechatnikov.
“We plan to complete the merger by the end of 2024. But we will already begin the first measures to unite clients in the fourth quarter of the current. We will offer 300,000 clients who have loans from Otkritie Bank to switch completely to servicing in VTB“, Pechatnikov noted.
The process of merging clients will take place gradually throughout 2024. VTB expects that all 3 million clients of Otkritie will switch to servicing in the infrastructure of the state bank. Over the next year, it is also planned to rebrand the Otkritie branches, which will start working in the design of VTB.
In 2022 it became knownthat the Central Bank of Russia will sell its “FC Otkritie» state bank VTB for 340 billion rubles. As part of the deal, VTB had to pay for “FC Otkritie» RUB 233.1 billion cash, and 106.9 billion rubles. pay in the form of an OFZ.
