Vladislav Zuev from Voronezh rose to the highest level of honor at the Cup of Russia, which takes place in Alushta. The athlete, who was trained by Nikita Kolesnichenko, received a gold medal in the biathlon (weight category up to 68 kg) on ​​the second day of the competition, September 17.

According to the press service of the Center for Sports Training of National Teams of the Voronezh Region, the “combination” discipline is a combination of two exercises – push and snatch. It takes 10 minutes to complete this type of program. Our compatriot during this time made 121 lifts in the clean and jerk and 125 in the snatch. This allowed him to score 183.5 points and take the gold.

On the first day of the competition, September 16, Vladislav took 2nd place in the “long cycle clean and jerk”, showing a good result – 64 lifts. The winner of the tournament – the master of sports of international class from the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug Alexander Usoltsev – made 9 lifts more.

Another of our fellow countrymen – Sergey Sinitsyn – in the same type of program lifted weights over his head 73 times in 10 minutes and became the owner of the National Cup (weight category up to 73 kg.)
