Football club “Fakel” (Voronezh) announced the resignation of 48-year-old head coach Oleg Vasilenko.
“The club and the coach are separating by mutual decision,” a statement on the club’s website reads.
The message cites the words of Vasilenko, who noted that he and the team management came to such a decision after a long conversation.
The general director of the club, Roman Askhabadze, said that the duties of the head coach will be performed by Dmitry Pyatibratov.
Recall that Vasilenko took over the team in 2020 and brought it to the Premier League. However, in the current RPL draw, Fakel has so far scored only 4 points and is in 14th place. In the next Voronezh on September 11 will take the Moscow “Locomotive”.
