Voronezh “Fakel” approached the relegation zone after the victory of the competing teams in the 6th round of the RPL

The victory of the competitors put the Fakel Voronezh football club in a difficult situation – after six matches played in the RPL, our players were in the 14th place in the standings. To date, the Voronezh team has 4 points (4 draws and 2 losses). Fans are already full of fear that Fakel would not be a contender for relegation.

Recall that the last match with the participation of Fakel was held in Samara on August 19. Unfortunately, it ended in a draw, our players could not snatch victory from Krylia Sovetov, the game ended with a score of 1:1.

On Saturday, August 20, two more matches took place in the Russian Premier League, which adversely affected Fakel’s position in the standings, as both competitors in the fight for a place above the joint zone won. Nizhny Novgorod “Pari NN” beat Yekaterinburg “Ural” with a score of 1:0, and it got one point more than “Fakel”. As a result, Pari NN moved up to 13th position.

Moscow “Locomotive” unconditionally beat “Khimki”, leaving the game with a winning score of 3:0 and climbed up to 12th place in the table.

In order not to end up in the relegation zone, the remaining RPL games should be in favor of our players. Today, August 21, CSKA plays with Akhmat, Krasnodar with Orenburg and Zenit with Torpedo. If Fakel’s competitors lose, our players will have a chance not to drop to 15th place. But the fans are sure that our competitor “Torpedo” will not beat the St. Petersburg “Zenith”, which has not won a single defeat in recent years. Moreover, “Torpedo” will need to score 6 goals against St. Petersburg in order to equalize the results in the standings.

And if the 6th round can give our team some advantage, then the 7th round, which will take place from August 26 to 28, has a much better chance of lowering the Fakel in the direct relegation zone. On August 27, at home, our players will compete with Spartak Moscow, the leader of the current championship. The probability of beating Spartak is almost zero, however, the “flammable ones”, of course, will try not to fall into the dirt on their faces. Yes, Voronezh fans, who are especially active, will support our team in every possible way.
