The meeting between Fakel and guests from Orenburg took place in Voronezh and ended with a score of 1:3. The only scored goal from the penalty spot was scored by striker Georgiy Gongadze. According to the results of the match, Fakel is on the 14th line in the RPL standings.
The work of referees at the match caused a storm of negative emotions both among the fans and the players of the Voronezh team themselves. The reason for the outrage was the canceled goal of Khyzyr Appayev in the 51st minute of the match. The referee made this decision after reviewing the VAR. The referee saw a violation in the attack phase by one of the Torch players, Mohamed Brahimi.
“We ask you, the fans, to support the team as much as possible,” Fakel addressed his fans.
For its part, the club invited the head of the refereeing department of the Russian Football Union, Pavel Kamantsev, to the general meeting of the RPL. The leadership of the Voronezh football club noted that they had already met with representatives of individual clubs “to discuss sensitive issues.” The meeting will take place on Wednesday, April 26, in Moscow.
