The next match of the regular VHL championship between the local “Molot” and the Voronezh “Buran” ended in Perm.
In the first two periods, the home team scored one goal each against the guests. At the start of the third 20-minute period, the Voronezh team, through the efforts of Maxim Kazakov, were able to reduce the gap, but in the middle of the game period, the Perm team again increased their lead.
Five minutes before the final siren, the Hurricanes were able to make the score minimal on the power play – 2:3, but they were unable to send the game into overtime. At the last second, the Urals hit the empty goal of the visitors – 4:2.
Thus, the Voronezh team suffered their fifth defeat in a row in the VHL. Albert Loginov’s team will play their next game in the national championship on January 27 in Izhevsk against one of the league’s outsiders, the local Izhstal.
