Voronezh “Buran” defeated HC “Bars”

On February 4, the bloody match on home ice ended for Buran with a score of 4:2.

Yesterday in Voronezh at the Yubileiny Sports Palace, as part of the regular championship of the All-Russian Hockey League, a match took place between our Buran and the Kazan Bars. The Hurricanes opened the scoring in the second minute of the match, Vyacheslav Ipatov scored the puck. In the second period, the Kazan team took advantage of the Voronezh team’s minority and Ravil Yakupov equalized the score.

Bars found themselves in the majority after a fistfight broke out on the ice. Forward Kirill Popov clashed with Adel Kurbanov, and the referee gave the Barca hockey player a five-minute penalty, and the Voronezh player seventeen.

In the thirtieth minute of the match, Danila Yakovlev helped the Hurricanes take the lead, and Buran forward Maxim Ryzhikov and defender Egor Zhdanov sealed the victory for the Voronezh team. The Barça hockey players still scored the second goal. The final score is 4:2.

Head coach of HC Buran Albert Loginov noted that the game was good. And he wished health to the Barça player who was hit in the face by a hockey stick.

– There was a pure game moment when the stick went across the stick and hit him in the face. A lot of blood has been shed today. We played a lot in the minority, thanks to the guys, they survived and rebuilt. Yes, we missed the first unnecessary goal, played a little incorrectly, but still found the strength to turn the game around and scored good goals,” said Albert Loginov.

This is Buran’s fourth victory in a row, which allowed our team to score 65 points and rise to 8th place in the standings. On February 6 at 19:00 the Hurricanes will meet Almetyevsk Neftyanik at their home ice arena.
